Corfu reports significant growth in cruise tourism for 2026
The Corfu Port Authority (OLKE) reported significant growth in cruise tourism during the first seven months of 2026. According to official data, the port handled 556,479 cruise passengers, representing a 17.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Cruise ship arrivals also rose by 11.2%, totaling 279 approaches.
The upward trend was particularly pronounced during the summer months. In June 2026, the port welcomed 163,488 passengers (a 30.1% increase) and 72 ship arrivals. July saw 165,018 passengers (up 13.5%) and 69 arrivals.
OLKE CEO Dimitris Apergis stated that these results confirm the international cruise market's steady confidence in Corfu. To support this growth, the authority is moving forward with strategic infrastructure plans, including two studies totaling 414,000 euros for a new Cruise Passenger Terminal and a new Non-Schengen Passenger Terminal.
