Corfu to host 24th Panhellenic Blood Donor Volunteers Torchlight Procession

The Regional Directorate of Education of the Ionian Islands, in collaboration with the Panhellenic Federation of Volunteer Blood Donors Associations (POSEA) and the 'Pandotis' Bone Marrow and Blood Donor Association, has announced the 24th Panhellenic Blood Donor Volunteers Torchlight Procession. The event is scheduled for October 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Corfu's Upper Square.

This year's event features a symbolic 'Chain of Solidarity for Life.' Students and educators from primary and secondary schools across the island will gather to form a large human chain surrounding the historic Spianada Square. Participants will remain linked for ten consecutive minutes to promote the importance of voluntary blood donation and social responsibility.
