Corfu–Chișinău flight passengers trapped in aircraft without air conditioning

Approximately 100 passengers, including young children, experienced extreme distress during a flight from Corfu to Chișinău operated by a Ukrainian low-cost airline. The passengers were held inside the aircraft for over two hours at temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius due to a technical failure in the air conditioning system.

Travelers reported a lack of water, poor ventilation, and insufficient communication from the crew, who reportedly spoke only Ukrainian. Some passengers experienced panic and physical discomfort due to the intense heat. After being debarked to the terminal, the flight eventually resumed and landed in Chișinău with a delay of nearly three hours.

The airline stated the incident was likely caused by an unforeseen technical issue and noted that affected passengers are entitled to submit official claims for compensation and refunds.
