Corigliano man arrested for domestic abuse and resisting police

A 46-year-old man has been arrested in Corigliano, Italy, following an incident involving domestic violence and resistance to a public official. Police intervened at a residence after receiving reports of a man in a highly agitated state in the presence of his mother and wife.

Officers reported that the man acted aggressively toward his family and attempted to attack his wife. When police intervened to prevent the assault, the man allegedly grabbed an officer by the jacket and pulled him violently toward the door while shouting insults.

The man was arrested in flagrante for resisting a public official and faces additional proceedings for domestic abuse. Following a request from the Castrovillari Public Prosecutor, a judge validated the arrest and applied a precautionary measure requiring him to present himself to judicial police.
