Corinaldo mourns former deputy mayor Fernando De Iasi

The town of Corinaldo is mourning the death of Fernando ‘Nando’ De Iasi, who passed away at the age of 66. De Iasi was a prominent figure in the local administration, serving as both deputy mayor and assessor for culture between 2002 and 2012 under the administration of the late Mayor Livio Scattolini.

During his tenure, De Iasi played a significant role in the cultural and touristic development of the region. He was notably involved in the restoration and programming of the Teatro Goldoni, which was returned to the city in 2005, and worked to enhance Corinaldo’s historical and landscape heritage to strengthen its regional and national presence.

Corinaldo Mayor Gianni Aloisi praised De Iasi as a ‘prudent administrator’ and a dear friend, noting his deep connection to the community and his direct, energetic approach to public service. Funeral services are scheduled to take place in Senigallia.
