Corinth Pipeworks secures $250 million Rovuma LNG contract
Cenergy Holdings has announced that its steel pipe division, Corinth Pipeworks, has secured a contract for the Rovuma LNG Phase 1 project in Mozambique. The contract, awarded by the Area 4 partners led by ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada, is valued between $200 million and $250 million.
Corinth Pipeworks will manufacture approximately 250 km (120,000 tons) of longitudinal submerged arc welded (LSAW) pipes, with diameters ranging from 20 to 24 inches, for the project's subsea pipeline network. The scope of work also includes the application of anti-corrosive and concrete weight coatings. Production will take place at the company's facilities in Thiva, Boeotia, designed to meet the demanding requirements of deep-sea natural gas transport.
