Memphis Depay signs two‑year contract extension with Corinthians
Dutch striker Memphis Depay has agreed to extend his contract with Brazilian club Corinthians until June 2028. The new deal covers two seasons, ending the player's agreement that was due to expire on 31 July 2026.
The contract includes a salary reduction for Depay and a repayment plan for the roughly R$ 44 million debt the club owes him, which will be amortised over the length of the new agreement. In addition, commercial clauses were added, allowing the player to earn extra income through merchandising, events and sponsorship activities.
Since joining Corinthians in September 2024, Depay has made 79 appearances, scoring 20 goals and providing 15 assists, and helped the team win the 2025 Campeonato Paulista, the 2025 Copa do Brasil and the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil.
