Corinthians evaluates André Carrillo contract renewal

Corinthians is currently evaluating the future of several players whose contracts are set to expire, with a primary focus on midfielder André Carrillo. The 35-year-old Peruvian player, who joined the club in September 2024, has a contract valid until December 31, 2026. Club officials are discussing a potential one-year extension, despite his high monthly salary of approximately R$ 900,000.

Carrillo's renewal is supported by coach Fernando Diniz, who values the veteran's experience. However, the club is weighing his high cost against his recent physical availability, noting he has only completed full 90-minute matches on two occasions this season.

In addition to Carrillo, the club is reviewing the status of nine other athletes, including André Ramalho, Jesse Lingard, and Allan, as it seeks to balance squad stability with financial constraints during a critical period in the Brazilian Championship.
