Vanderlei Luxemburgo denies Corinthians contact, expresses willingness to return

Vanderlei Luxemburgo has addressed recent speculation regarding a potential return to Corinthians, clarifying that he has received no contact from the club's board to serve as either a head coach or a technical coordinator.

In a video released on social media, Luxemburgo stated that while he has not been approached, he would be willing to manage the team for the final matches of the Campeonato Brasileiro out of gratitude for the club's past support. He noted that the club helped him return to football following a difficult period in his career.

Regarding long-term projects, Luxemburgo established specific conditions for a return. He expressed interest in a ‘head coach’ role, which would grant him broader responsibility over the football department and direct communication with the board, rather than reporting to an executive director. This comes amid internal restructuring at Corinthians following the departure of Marcelo Paz.
