Corinthians formalizes Fernando Diniz rescission and registers Clarence Seedorf
Corinthians has officially formalized the contract termination of former coach Fernando Diniz following an agreement to pay approximately R$ 4.8 million in installments. This settlement, which includes payments to Diniz's assistants, was designed to protect the club's cash flow and avoid legal disputes.
The resolution of the Diniz contract impasse has cleared the way for the club to register its new head coach, Clarence Seedorf, with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Seedorf, who is under contract until the end of 2027, was previously unable to participate in matches due to pending documentation regarding his work visa.
Seedorf is set to make his official debut this Saturday in a match against Vasco at São Januário. The appointment comes at a critical time for Corinthians, as the team sits in 16th place in the Brasileirão and faces the risk of falling into the relegation zone following a nine-game winless streak.
