Corinthians prepare for Remo clash at Neo Química Arena

Corinthians’ offensive output is concentrated in brief periods of play, with 22.2% of its goals coming between minutes 16‑20 and a third of the season’s goals scored between minutes 11‑15. The team’s defense remains solid, having conceded only 19 goals in 18 rounds.

Ahead of the Thursday, 23 July match at 19:30 BRT, coach Fernando Diniz led a penultimate training session focused on ball possession, pressing, crosses and finishing, while also giving tactical video instructions. The squad also practiced on the newly renovated pitch at Neo Química Arena to adapt to the surface.

Remo promoted a ticket “pair” discount for the game at the Mangueirão, offering two stand tickets for R$ 100 or two seat tickets for R$ 200, and opened check‑in for its Fenômeno Azul members.

Goalkeeping form was highlighted: Corinthians’ Hugo Souza has conceded 0.85 goals per match over 33 games, compared with Remo’s Ivan Quaresma’s 1.14 per match in seven outings, giving Souza a statistical edge. Remo’s starting goalkeeper for the fixture remains uncertain after a recent training‑match error.

The match, part of the 19th round of Brazil’s Serie A, pits a defensively disciplined Corinthians side against a Remo team looking to capitalize on home support.
