Corinthians negotiates André sale to Nottingham Forest
Corinthians is negotiating the sale of 20-year-old midfielder André to the English club Nottingham Forest. Because the deal is structured for the player to remain with the Brazilian club until the end of the year, Corinthians does not feel pressured to finalize the transaction before the upcoming English transfer window deadline.
The primary obstacle in the negotiations is the financial valuation. Nottingham Forest made an initial offer of approximately 12 million euros (R$ 72 million), while Corinthians is seeking a total package worth roughly 15 million pounds (R$ 105 million), which includes 6 million pounds in bonuses. While the English side has indicated they may not meet the full asking price, there is an expectation that the offers will move closer to the desired amount.
Corinthians holds 70% of André's economic rights. The club is looking to utilize transfer revenues to bolster its finances, having projected R$ 151 million in transfer income for its 2026 budget.
