Corinthians retains coach Fernando Diniz after sixth consecutive loss

Corinthians remains under the leadership of coach Fernando Diniz despite a severe crisis following a 3-1 defeat against Fluminense. The loss marks the team's sixth consecutive defeat in the Brasileirão, leaving the club in 14th place, just three points above the relegation zone.

Before the match at Neo Química Arena, organized supporter groups protested by turning their backs to the field during the national anthem to express dissatisfaction with the club's institutional and athletic performance. This follows recent eliminations from the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.

Despite intense pressure from fans and the media, football executive Marcelo Paz announced that the club's board and the players have decided to maintain Diniz and his coaching staff. Paz stated that the players voluntarily approached the leadership to express their confidence in the work, seeking to overcome the current difficult period together.
