Corinthians proposes naming rights deal to Caixa to settle arena debt

Corinthians has formally proposed a deal to Caixa Econômica Federal to settle the outstanding debt related to the construction of the Neo Química Arena. The proposal involves transferring the stadium's naming rights to the state-owned bank.

The current debt to the financial institution is approximately R$ 630 million, which accounts for 22.5% of the club's total R$ 2.8 billion debt. In addition to the naming rights, the club is offering a commercial package that includes migrating its banking accounts, managing employee payroll, and issuing credit cards for the 'Fiel Torcedor' program.

Club leadership expressed optimism following meetings in Brasília. The club estimates the current advertising space for the complex is worth roughly R$ 70 million annually, significantly higher than the R$ 15 million currently paid by the existing sponsor.
