Cork prepares for upcoming jazz festival and community autumn festivities
The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival is scheduled to take place from October 22–26, 2026, during the October Bank Holiday Weekend. The full programme is expected to be released in early September. The festival will feature over 500 musicians performing across approximately 100 events in nearly 80 venues, covering genres such as jazz, soul, funk, R&B, Afrobeat, and electronic music. Activities include major ticketed performances, the free Guinness Music Trail, and street performances via The Big Fringe.
Additionally, the annual Autumn Fest will return to Douglas Street on Sunday, September 6. Organized by the Douglas Street Business Association with support from Cork City Council, the free ‘Village in the City’ event will close the street to traffic from 12pm to 6pm. The community festival will feature circus acts, live music, food, craft fairs, and local history tours.
