Cornate d'Adda inaugurates new public water distribution facility
A new Casa dell'Acqua (Water House) has been inaugurated in Cornate d'Adda at the via Dante municipal sports center parking lot. The facility, managed by BrianzAcque in collaboration with the local administration, provides free natural and sparkling water 24 hours a day.
To access the service, users must use a card costing 3 euros, which can be purchased at the Oratorio Sacro Cuore totem in Porto d'Adda. There is a daily withdrawal limit of 12 liters per user. This new installation brings the total number of active plants in the Brianza region to 118.
Local officials emphasized the ecological benefits of the project, noting its role in reducing single-use plastics and promoting sustainable lifestyles. Data from a similar facility in Porto d'Adda showed that since the start of 2026, it has distributed over 403,000 liters of water, resulting in significant economic savings and a reduction of 65 tons of CO2 emissions.
