The “Vatra” exhibition, dedicated to painter Corneliu Dumitriu, is opening at the “Ștefan Luchian” Art Galleries in Botoșani. Running from September 2 to September 30, 2026, the event is supported by the Botoșani County Museum and City Gallery Botoșani.
The exhibition features works created over four decades, spanning from the 1980s to 2022. It focuses on a recurring theme in Dumitriu’s oeuvre: the rural world and the memory of his origins in the village of Rădăuți-Prut. This presentation serves as the fifth chapter of a retrospective series that began in 2023.
The official vernissage is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00, featuring a presentation by Professor Corneliu Iațu.
