Cornell men's soccer defeats Western Michigan 2-0

The Western Michigan University men's soccer team lost 2-0 to No. 17 Cornell at the WMU Soccer Complex. Despite six saves from goalkeeper Alex Lindewirth, the Broncos were unable to overcome Cornell's discipline.

Cornell opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the 32nd minute and added a second goal in the 63rd minute. Western Michigan attempted a late push with chances from Joshua Nicholson and Vitor Geromel, but the defense held. Head Coach Chad Wiseman noted the team must raise its level of play ahead of conference play.
