Corner Canyon remains top-ranked in Utah and Mountain West football

High school football rankings for Utah and the Mountain West region have been updated for the week of August 31, 2026. Corner Canyon remains the top-ranked team in both the Utah Top 10 and the Mountain West Top 25. Following a dominant performance where they outscored opponents 140-21 over three games, the Chargers are scheduled to play an interstate matchup against Liberty in Arizona.

In the Utah state rankings, West High School has reached its highest position ever, climbing to No. 4 after a victory over Archbishop Riordan. This win also secured West a spot in the national HSFA 300 rankings at No. 232. Other notable movements in the Utah Top 10 include Herriman entering at No. 8 and Crimson Cliffs making its first appearance at No. 10.

The Mountain West Top 25 includes teams from Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota. New entries into the regional rankings include Bountiful (UT), Alta (UT), Coeur d’Alene (ID), Brandon Valley (SD), and Homedale (ID).
