Corning secures Verizon deal as Circle leads tokenized equity growth

Corning Incorporated shares rose 1.6% following the announcement of a multiyear, multibillion-dollar supply agreement with Verizon. The deal, which runs through 2032, focuses on providing high-density optical fiber and connectivity products to support broadband expansion and next-generation AI infrastructure.

Corning has also seen increased engagement with partners such as Meta, Amazon, and NVIDIA. Additionally, the company and its industry partners completed the SDM4 multicore-fiber specification, establishing a framework for higher-density optical links in AI data centers.

In the digital asset sector, Circle Internet Group has emerged as a leader in the tokenized equity market following its public listing on the New York Stock Exchange. The top 20 tokenized deployments of Circle shares total approximately $305.5 million in market capitalization.

This growth in tokenized equities follows a U.S. SEC order effective September 17, 2026, which established a conditional framework for trading tokenized U.S. stocks through 2031. Major products driving this activity include CRCLon by Ondo Finance, CRCLB tied to Binance, and CRCLx from Backed Finance.
