Cornish Pirates launch new foundation and enter new ownership era

The Cornish Pirates rugby club has announced the launch of the Cornish Pirates Foundation, an initiative aimed at improving lives across Cornwall through rugby-based programs. The foundation will focus on values such as teamwork, respect, discipline, and resilience to support both young and old community members. It will also expand existing campaigns, including those addressing violence against women and girls.

This announcement coincides with a period of organizational change for the club. The Pirates recently completed a new ownership structure involving United States-based investors and UK-based directors, including television presenter Nick Knowles.

As the club prepares to begin its Championship Rugby season with a match against the Doncaster Knights, joint-head coach Alan Paver expressed optimism regarding squad continuity. Paver noted that retaining a large portion of the previous season's squad and coaching staff provides a stable foundation for upcoming performances.
