Cornwall Council announces upcoming school term dates

Cornwall Council has released the key school term dates for the upcoming academic years to assist local families with planning. For most community and voluntary-controlled schools, the autumn term is scheduled to run for 72 days, concluding on Friday, December 18.

Key break periods include the October half term from October 26 to October 30. The spring term is set to begin on January 4, 2027, and run until March 25, with a five-day break from February 15 to February 19. The summer term will commence on April 12 and continue until July 23, with a final half term scheduled for May 31 to June 4.

Looking further ahead, the 2027/28 academic year is expected to begin on September 2, 2027. Parents are advised that these dates may not apply to all institutions, as academies, foundation, trust, and voluntary-aided schools have the authority to set their own calendars.
