Cornwall Cricket League sees relegations for Holsworthy and Bovey Tracey

Several teams in the Cornwall Cricket League faced relegation or leadership changes as the season concluded. Holsworthy has been relegated from Division Two East after a six-year tenure. Their final match against St Austell Seconds was abandoned due to worsening weather while Holsworthy was at 149-8. Despite strong bowling performances from Graham Wild, who took 4-23, and Aiden Gerry, the inability to complete the match meant they could not secure the necessary results to avoid the drop.

In the B Division, Bovey Tracey 2nd XI has been relegated following a 33-run loss to Bideford. The match also marked the end of Dan Green’s five-year term as skipper. Bovey Tracey finished the season in fifth place in the A Division, with captain Seb Ansley noting the need for more consistent run-scoring to pursue future promotions.
