Cornwall launches grants and community events to curb anti‑social behaviour

Callington Town Council has opened applications for a one‑off anti‑social behaviour (ASB) grant aimed at charities, voluntary organisations and community groups in Callington and Kelly Bray. The funding will support projects that discourage ASB, benefit local residents and improve community wellbeing. Applications are judged on merit and the council may require recipients to demonstrate how the grant money was used. The scheme is not guaranteed to continue annually.

Cornwall MP Noah Law has introduced a series of Community Conversations events across the constituency, including St Dennis, St Austell, Sticker, Par and Bugle. The gatherings bring together residents, police and local stakeholders to discuss hotspots of anti‑social behaviour, its impact on livelihoods and high streets, and ways to strengthen cohesion and protect small businesses. The MP emphasised the need for open dialogue to address these issues and revitalise town centres.
