Cornwall sexual offence convictions reported by Truro Crown Court
Truro Crown Court in Cornwall has processed several sexual offence cases this week. Kevin Cross, 69, was found guilty of attempted anal intercourse and indecent assault of a boy and will be sentenced on 29 July, released on conditional bail with restrictions on contact and residence. Lukasz Michalski, 47, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman at Par railway station; he received an eight‑month custodial sentence suspended for two years, was ordered to pay compensation and a surcharge, and was placed under a seven‑year sexual harm prevention order barring entry to railway stations and contact with women on public transport. David Wild, 29, admitted possession of four Category C indecent images of a child and 128 prohibited images; his sentencing is due on 30 October. David Hewitt, 53, has been charged with rape and his case is listed for 7 August. Corbin Gill, 20, was convicted of inciting a 14‑15‑year‑old girl to sexual activity and of sexual penetration when he was 17; he received a 12‑month suspended sentence, a curfew, mandated treatment, a ten‑year police registration, and a sexual harm prevention order. The court also issued various restraining and protection orders linked to these convictions.
