Coro Carlos Gomes to perform a cappella in Pará

The Coro Carlos Gomes will perform an a cappella concert at the Igreja de Santo Alexandre on September 11 at 8:00 PM. This performance marks the group’s return to its classical mixed chamber choir formation, a configuration that has earned the ensemble various international awards over its 31-year history.

Under the direction of Maestra Maria Antonia Jiménez, the choir will move away from recent performances accompanied by orchestras or pianos to explore the purity of unaccompanied singing. The concert will feature special guest appearances by soprano Thaina Souza and mezzo-soprano Laura Gentile.
