Corona del Sol football seeks sustained success after 6-2 start

The Corona del Sol Aztecs football team is attempting to convert a 6-2 start into long-term program stability. After a decade marked by frequent coaching changes and inconsistent performance, the team has seen only two winning seasons in the last ten years.

Under second-year coach Eric Lauer, the Aztecs have improved significantly from a 3-7 record in his debut season. While the current six wins have come against teams with losing records, the program aims to prove it can compete against stronger opponents as they prepare to face Casteel.
