Corona Resort and Casino opens in Phu Quoc, Vietnam

Corona Resort and Casino has launched in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, positioning itself as a new regulated gaming and leisure destination in Southeast Asia. Managed by the Netherlands-based Upffinity Gaming Management B.V., the 18,800-square-meter casino features 484 slot machines, 157 electronic table games, and 147 gaming tables. It is noted as the first casino recognized by the Vietnamese government to allow eligible local citizens to participate in legal gaming activities, while international tourists may enter with a valid passport.

The integrated resort offers over 3,000 rooms and villas across several hotels, including Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc and Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc. Facilities include more than 20 dining venues, the Corona Convention Center, VinWonders theme park, Vinpearl Safari, and an 18-hole golf course.

To support international tourism, the resort targets various markets, including South Korea, Taiwan, Russia, and India. The development coincides with ongoing infrastructure improvements on Phu Quoc, such as airport expansions, intended to prepare the island for major international events like the 2027 APEC summit.
