Coronation Art Gallery opens ‘The Value of Belief’ exhibition in Lagos

The Coronation Art Gallery in Lagos has officially launched its most ambitious exhibition to date, titled ‘The Value of Belief — Collectors, Conviction and the Making of Cultural Futures’. Held at Coronation Plaza, the opening event included business leaders, artists, and senior executives from the Coronation Group.

The exhibition features works from the private collections of three prominent Nigerian patrons: Kayode Adegbola, Kola Aina, and Seyi Ajibola. Their collections, which include painting, sculpture, and mixed media, represent decades of investment in the contemporary Nigerian art landscape and the broader cultural infrastructure of Africa.

Organizers framed the exhibition as a study of conviction, drawing parallels between the long-term commitment required for art patronage and the principles of sound financial stewardship and investment.
