Coronation Street adds Line of Duty star and Hollyoaks actor

Coronation Street will introduce two new characters next week. Actress Elizabeth Rider, known for playing DCC Andrea Wise in Line of Duty, joins the soap as Sadie, the mother of paramedic Sienna Milburn. Sadie's storyline explores early‑onset vascular dementia and her strained interaction with Sienna.

A former Hollyoaks actor appears as Richie, Tim Metcalfe’s long‑lost cousin. Richie confides in Tim about his unhappy marriage and stays over, providing fresh drama for the Metcalfe family.

Both additions expand existing plotlines around Sienna’s family care decisions and Tim’s personal life, while bringing recognizable talent from other UK dramas to the cobbles.
