Coronation Street: Christina Boyd faces debt and physical altercations

In recent episodes of Coronation Street, character Christina Boyd faces escalating personal crises. Struggling with a severe spending addiction, Christina has accumulated significant debt by opening fraudulent credit cards in the names of her ex-husband Lenny, housemate Mary Taylor, and George Shuttleworth’s sister, Glenda Shuttleworth. Although George initially attempted to support her by attending an addicts’ support group, he left for Somerset after Todd Grimshaw exposed her continued spending.

Adding to the tension, a physical altercation occurred in a ginnel after a tipsy Christina fell. Jake Windass filmed the incident and poured water on her, prompting Ollie Driscoll to pin Jake to the floor in anger. The confrontation ended when Jake’s father, Gary Windass, intervened and warned Ollie to stay away from his son.
