Coronation Street features storyline about male breast cancer

In the television drama Coronation Street, character Kit Green is set to reveal a diagnosis of stage three breast cancer to Todd Grimshaw. The storyline follows Kit's recent discovery of a family history of the disease following the death of his great aunt, Celeste Butterfield.

Actor Jacob Roberts noted that the production collaborated with Macmillan Cancer Support and Breast Cancer Now to ensure authenticity. Roberts highlighted the importance of exploring the shock and disbelief associated with men receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, noting that many men may be unaware they are at risk.
