COROS announces DURA 2 SOLAR GPS bike computer

COROS has unveiled the DURA 2 SOLAR, the second generation of its GPS bike computer. The new device features a 3.5-inch Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) touchscreen, which is a 30% increase in size over the previous 2.7-inch model. Designed for high visibility in direct sunlight, the display includes an anti-glare coating and a 38Hz refresh rate.

The hardware has been redesigned with a carbon-fiber backplate and an aluminum-alloy bezel, bringing the total weight down to 99 grams. Moving away from the rotating dial used in the original model, the DURA 2 SOLAR utilizes physical side buttons, haptic face buttons, and voice control capabilities.

Battery life remains a primary focus, with the manufacturer claiming up to 120 hours of use in standard GPS mode and 70 hours in dual-frequency mode. An integrated solar panel can extend this runtime, potentially adding up to two hours of use for every one hour of direct sunlight exposure. The device supports offline navigation, including automatic re-routing via a smartphone app, and is compatible with various cycling sensors and platforms such as Strava and Komoot.

Orders are scheduled to open on November 3, 2026, with a starting price of $499 in the US and approximately €499 in Europe.
