Corpoelec launches commercial energy inspections in Venezuela
Corpoelec has launched a supervision and inspection plan targeting commercial and business sectors in the Venezuelan states of Anzoátegui and Miranda. The initiative aims to ensure compliance with energy-saving regulations and evaluate self-generation capacities in anticipation of the ‘Super Niño’ weather phenomenon.
The inspections, conducted by the Management of Alternative Sources and Rational Use of Electric Energy (Fauree), focus on medium and small businesses, supermarket chains, and hotels with consumption levels of 5 KVA or higher. Technical teams are performing on-site reviews and providing guidance on the correct use of high-consumption equipment.
In Anzoátegui, operations began in the metropolitan area and will expand to western, central, and southern municipalities. In Miranda, inspections cover key sectors including Valles del Tuy, Barlovento, Altos Mirandinos, and the Plaza-Zamora subregion. The state utility is verifying the functionality of self-generation systems and promoting conscious consumption patterns.
