Corporate earnings report: Anta, FWD, Mixue, and Prudential release interim results

Several major companies reported their interim financial results, showing a mix of growth and challenges across the consumer and insurance sectors.

Anta Group reported a 12.9% increase in H1 revenue to 43.51 billion yuan, driven by its multi-brand strategy including Descente and Kolon, which saw a 44.2% revenue surge. However, its main Anta brand saw slower growth of 4.8% amid leadership changes.

In the consumer sector, Mixue Group reported a 14.7% drop in net profit to 2.319 billion yuan, despite a 2.3% revenue increase. The company maintains a global network of approximately 64,000 stores.

In the insurance industry, FWD Group achieved record net profit, reaching 1.72 billion USD, a nearly threefold increase from the previous year, supported by strong demand in Hong Kong, Macau, and Japan. Prudential reported an 8% increase in new business profit to 1.38 billion USD. While noting the impact of regulatory changes in mainland China on bank insurance channels, Prudential expressed confidence in its Hong Kong business and announced an additional 300 million USD share buyback.
