Corporate earnings reports show mixed results for GitLab, REX American, and Waterdrop
Several companies released their quarterly financial results and strategic updates for the 2026 period.
REX American Resources reported a record second quarter with net income per diluted share of $1.06 and net sales of $168.5 million. The company maintained a debt-free balance sheet with $379.5 million in cash and short-term investments.
GitLab reported Q2 2027 revenue of $286.3 million, a 21% year-over-year increase, exceeding management guidance. The company saw a 42% growth in net Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and a significant increase in large deals valued at $500,000 or more.
Waterdrop saw total revenue grow 72.8% year-over-year to RMB1,448.2 million, driven by its insurance segment. However, net profit decreased by 10.3% year-over-year due to higher tax expenses and nonrecurring items.
Cango reported a net loss of $81.6 million for the quarter, largely due to $51 million in noncash impairment and disposal losses on mining machines. Total revenue for the quarter was $50.8 million, primarily from Bitcoin mining.
IMAX Corporation's CEO discussed the company's global growth, noting a significant increase in moviegoing relevance and high-performing film slates.
