Corporate restructuring leads to job cuts at Bolloré, Jaguar Land Rover, and Don't Nod

Several major companies across the automotive and gaming sectors are undergoing significant restructuring and job cuts.

Bolloré has announced the cessation of electric bus production via Bluebus. The move involves cutting 74 positions at Bluebus and 41 at its sister company, Blue Solutions, over three years. The group intends to pivot its focus toward the industrial-scale production of fourth-generation solid-state batteries through strategic partnerships.

Jaguar Land Rover, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, plans to cut approximately 4,000 jobs over the next two years to achieve savings of roughly £1.7 billion. The company cited rising costs, declining sales, and increased competition from China as primary drivers. The cuts are expected to impact research, development, and management through voluntary departure programs.

French video game developer Don't Nod is facing a financial crisis, announcing plans to cut up to 90 jobs in Paris. Following a significant drop in revenue and high cash burn rates, the company warned that its continued existence beyond January 2027 depends on securing external capital. The studio plans to consolidate its French operations into a single production line to focus resources.
