Correbasket UAT to host LNBP basketball series in Tampico and Reynosa

Correbasket UAT, the professional basketball team of the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT), will host two official series of the 2026 LNBP season outside of its home base in Ciudad Victoria. The initiative aims to bring high-level professional basketball to different regions of the state to promote sports and university identity.

The first series will take place in Tampico on August 24 and 25, where Correbasket UAT will face Soles de Mexicali at the university campus's multidisciplinary gymnasium. The second series will be held in Reynosa on September 20 and 21 against Fuerza Regia de Monterrey, marking the return of professional league games to the northern border region.

UAT officials stated that the gymnasiums in both Tampico and Reynosa meet all the standards, certifications, and requirements set by the LNBP to host professional matches. Despite playing in these locations, Correbasket UAT will officially maintain its status as the home team for both series.
