Correcaminos draws 0-0 with Chivas in preseason match at Ciudad Victoria

On July 3, 2024, the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) football team Correcaminos hosted Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara at Estadio Marte R. Gómez in Ciudad Victoria. More than ten thousand spectators filled the stadium for the preseason encounter, which ended in a 0‑0 stalemate.

The match was part of Correcaminos’ preparation for the Apertura 2026 tournament, which begins on July 25. Coach Gabriel "Místico" Pereyra used the game to assess new signings, including Bryan "Cobra" Mendoza and Omar Islas. The club announced upcoming friendlies against Sporting Costa Rica on July 9 and the Mexico U‑23 national team on July 16 as the next steps in its build‑up.
