Correcaminos sports teams face difficult seasons in Mexico

The Correcaminos sports programs in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, are facing challenging periods across different disciplines.

In soccer, Correcaminos suffered a 2-0 defeat against Coyotes de Tlaxcala during Matchday 14 of the Apertura 2026 tournament. Erick Robles scored both goals, including a penalty in the 62nd minute. Despite Coyotes playing with ten men after a red card in the 80th minute, Correcaminos struggled to maintain offensive clarity. The team currently sits in 12th place with 16 points, three points away from the qualification zone.

In American football, the Correcaminos UAT concluded their 2026 ONEFA Liga Mayor season without a single victory. Under coach Guillermo Fierro, the team finished last in the Grupo Bajío with eight losses in eight matches.
