Correggio condo terror ends with suspect arrested

Carabinieri in Correggio arrested a 40‑year‑old man after a prolonged campaign of intimidation and physical violence in a residential building.

Prosecutor Calogero Gaetano Paci, acting for the Reggio Emilia tribunal, charged him with aggravated personal injury and stalking (condominium stalking). investigators said the suspect repeatedly threw objects, feces, burned paper and knives, and used a makeshift weapon to threaten neighbours.

On 17 June he entered a nearby courtyard, threatened a homeowner and inflicted injuries. Two days later he attacked a resident in the elevator, punching and repeatedly kicking her, causing traumatic fractures with a 28‑day prognosis.

The prosecutor requested, and a judge approved, house arrest in a therapeutic rehabilitation facility to contain the danger.
