Corregidora Police Officer Daniel Iván Angulo Reyes Secures International Rescue Dog Certification

Municipal police officer Daniel Iván Angulo Reyes of Corregidora, Mexico, earned the International Rescue Dog Organization (IRO) certification for search‑and‑rescue of persons. The assessment was held from 29 to 31 July in Uruguay and was organized by the Uruguayan Army’s Group K‑09 Operations Unit. Teams were evaluated as binomials of guide and working dog under IRO’s international standards.

The certification process included participants from Uruguay’s Republican Guard, Chile and Mexico. SSPM Corregidora highlighted the achievement as part of its strategy to professionalize and specialize its security forces through continuous training and internationally recognised credentials. Angulo Reyes emphasized that the certification demonstrates the unit’s preparedness to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
