Corregidora's First Carboot Sale Attracts 2,500 Visitors
The inaugural Carboot Corregidora, a community‑driven car‑boot sale modeled on international car‑boot sales, was held in the parking lot of the Centro de Atención Municipal (CAM) in Corregidora, Mexico. More than 2,500 people attended, and 148 vehicle owners displayed a wide range of second‑hand goods.
The event, organized jointly by the municipality and local residents, aimed to promote circular‑economy practices, responsible consumption and electronic‑waste collection. Municipal service kiosks were set up to provide information and facilitate citizen procedures. Mayor Chepe Guerrero praised the initiative for strengthening social ties, supporting the local economy and encouraging sustainable habits.
