Correios and AliExpress renew partnership to boost Brazilian e-commerce deliveries
Correios and AliExpress have renewed their partnership and signed a memorandum of understanding to optimize e-commerce deliveries in Brazil. The agreement, formalized in September at the Alibaba Group headquarters in Hangzhou, China, aims to strengthen logistics ahead of major global shopping events, including the Singles' Day festival on November 11 and Black Friday.
The collaboration focuses on increasing operational capacity to handle seasonal surges in demand. Key objectives include reducing delivery times, expanding package processing capabilities, and improving tracking system accuracy to provide better visibility for consumers.
This strategic move comes as Correios seeks to bolster its revenue streams and competitiveness amid financial challenges and discussions regarding potential privatization. Emmanuel Rondon, president of Correios, stated that the company is prepared for the expected increase in volume through a robust and integrated logistics network connecting Brazil to the global e-commerce market.
