Correntina triple homicide: Mother and two sons shot dead

A woman and her two sons were killed in a shooting on Tuesday in Correntina, located in western Bahia. The victims have been identified as 49-year-old Jandira Pereira Silva and her sons, Matheus Pereira Oliveira, 26, and Venilson Pereira Oliveira, 24.

The attack occurred near a gas establishment when three men in a vehicle approached the victims' car and opened fire. Although a 7-year-old child was present in the vehicle, they were not hit by the gunfire. The victims attempted to flee the vehicle after being shot but died at the scene.

Local authorities have isolated the area for forensic examination. The 1st Territorial Police Station of Santa Maria da Vitória has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the murders. As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made.
