Correos de México issues Juan Gabriel commemorative stamps

Correos de México has released a commemorative stamp collection honoring the singer Juan Gabriel on the tenth anniversary of his death. The issuance consists of 300,000 pieces divided into two distinct designs. When placed together, the stamps complete an image of the artist accompanied by an acoustic guitar.

The designs utilize photography from the 1984 sessions of the album ‘Recuerdos II’. Each individual stamp is priced at 7.50 pesos and is available at postal offices throughout Mexico. In Mexico City, collectors can visit the Palacio Postal to find the stamps, as well as a special collector's series including one thousand envelopes and one thousand philatelic sheets.
