From 24 to 29 May, the province of Corrientes will stage Las Nacionales 2026 at the Sociedad Rural in Riachuelo. Organized by Expoagro, the week‑long fair will display premier bovine breeds such as Braford, Brangus and Brahman, alongside Criollo horses, and will serve as a showcase for the province’s third‑largest cattle herd – roughly 4.5 million head – and a growing buffalo population near 100 000. Officials highlighted public‑policy programmes that support pasture improvement, artificial insemination and value‑added processing to keep the entire production chain local.

At the same time, General Alvear in Mendoza has launched its 45th Fiesta Nacional de la Ganadería de Zonas Áridas. The multi‑day event brings together producers, entrepreneurs, artists and families from across Argentina, combining livestock exhibitions with traditional music and cultural activities. Both fairs aim to attract national and international buyers, promoting Argentine genetics and meat quality in global markets.
