Corrientes, Argentina to Host IV Belgraniano Congress as Descendant of General Manuel Belgrano Visits

A direct descendant of General Manuel Belgrano, licenciado Manuel Belgrano, visited Concepción del Yaguareté Corá, where he was received by Mayor Gastón Ramírez and local officials and was honored as Ciudadano Ilustre. The visit highlighted the town’s historic ties to the independence hero and included a tribute to Pedro Ríos, known as the “Tamborcito de Tacuarí.”

The same week, provincial authorities confirmed that Corrientes will host the IV Congreso Nacional e Internacional Belgraniano on 1‑2 October, with a closing session on 3 October in Concepción del Yaguareté Corá. The congress, organized by the Instituto Belgraniano, will focus on “Manuel Belgrano y el país que se imaginó” and feature research presentations, a homage to Pedro Ríos, and discussions of Belgrano’s legacy in the region.
