Corrientes Governor advances water infrastructure to mitigate El Niño

Corrientes Governor Juan Pablo Valdés has highlighted the progress of strategic water infrastructure projects designed to mitigate the potential impacts of the El Niño phenomenon. In San Luis del Palmar, the La Palmira canal project has reached 65% completion in its first stage. Upcoming works include a crossing of National Route 12, which is expected to improve water runoff and connectivity in the area.

Regarding provincial finances, Valdés stated that the budget for August is expected to close tightly, noting that there is currently no scheduled date for further public sector salary increases. He emphasized that previous salary recompositions were intended to support employees, despite ongoing economic challenges. Additionally, the administration is promoting digital signatures as a tool for administrative modernization and transparency.
