Argentine provinces implement diverse public health and safety initiatives
Various Argentine provinces are implementing diverse public health and safety initiatives. In Corrientes, the Ministry of Public Health is reinforcing vaccination campaigns for influenza and dengue, targeting high-risk groups and conducting school-based vaccination drives.
In Entre Ríos, health authorities are addressing a 72% year-on-year increase in syphilis notifications by proposing a provincial prevention and diagnosis program. Additionally, the province recently concluded a basic epidemiology course for 50 health professionals to strengthen disease surveillance and outbreak response.
Other regional efforts include Jujuy, where the Ministry of Health has provided over 10,000 health services through community outreach, and Chubut, which conducted emergency response training for medical teams in Paso de Indios to improve trauma care in rural settings. In Tierra del Fuego, the Ministry of Education has launched virtual training for educators to address problematic digital consumption and online violence among students.
